We're back!

Well, I am finally getting around to updating my blog.....whoop! I really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers while I was sick....what amazing friends and family we have.
Here are some updates on our lil man Carter! Since its been awhile I will do a Carter and then an Ethan post:) Oh and ya, I am not a good writer....so disregard any of my grammar....I write as fast as I talk:)

Carter turned 6 months old....He is starting to sit up for a couple seconds but still falls over. He is still nursing 6-7 times a day and not quite sleeping thru the night. We tried the cry it out...worked for 2 nights then he started waking up again at 11am and 4am. He is eating rice/oatmeal cereal in mornings and then has tried peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans in the evenings. I am making his baby food and he seems to like it! At his 6 month check up he was 15.2 oz(25%) and 27 inches long(50th %). You had 4 shots and then had a reaction on your leg so we had to wait at the dr until the swelling went down. Carter also had tubes put in his ears because of chronic ear infections and when 6 different antibiotics did not work his ENT said tubes it is. You did great and hardly fussed! You started moving around in circles and started getting up on all fours and we also started putting you in the high chair.....man you are growing too too fast!




Carter turned 7 months old on June 28th!. A lot of changes happened this month. Carter had to adjust to formula,as I had to stop nursing when I got so sick for my two week stay in the hospital. Luckily he did great on the nutramigen(non milk formula) and we are now on enfamil gentlease. Nana and Pop and also aunt Jo jo came to help out and they said he did great. My mom was able to come down and take care of me. I was so worried about him not transitioning to formula well and was also sad I had to stop nursing. However, I am just thankful to be home and with all 3 of my boys. This month you started rocking on all fours, then started crawling, then going to a sitting position & sitting on your own all in a weeks time. Thank goodness you waited for mommy to get home to see it all:) You had a bad diaper rash and we took you to dr....you weighs 16 lbs 13 1/2 oz (almost a 2 lb weight gain in 1 month). During month 7 your top teeth are starting to come in....you have been super fussy but motrin works:). You also made our day on July 14th because you started sleeping thru the night.....5 nights in a row....7:30pm to 7:30am......WHOOP!!! You have become quite the eater with eating about 2 jars of baby food 3 times a day, you love puffs, crackers, bananas, yogurt, and every veggie:). You have also mastered holding your own bottle....tears. My favorite part of the day is at night after your bottle I love holding and rocking you...melts my heart!
